 Opportunity-Vale of Evesham

The Wychavon Strategic Partnership has developed an ambitious four-year project, Opportunity Vale of Evesham.  The project, which is funded with £420,000 from the first LAA reward grant, will provide help to the Vale of Evesham’s hardest pressed communities.

The project is targeted at around 1,440 households living in eleven areas in the rural wards of Badsey, Broadway, Harvington and Norton, plus parts of Evesham.

Opportunity Vale of Evesham aims to improve skills and confidence; reduce fuel poverty; and, improve health within these communities.  The project will work with communities to identify what would make the greatest difference locally.

One of the projects OVoE are involved with is the Harvington Youth Project.  The youth project aims to bring out the potential of young people in Harvington, and helps them to realise their potential and involve them in the wider community.

Brand and Style guidelines - the guidelines are for everyone involved in producing communications or other materials associated with Opportunity Vale of Evesham.  They include tips for writing clearly, using the logo, typefaces, colour pallet and designing communication materials.

Read all about a range of opportunities and activities that are available for you and your household in our Opportunities for you leaflet.  Most of them are FREE.

*NEW*

The future direction of the project has been discussed and it has been agreed that:

  • OVoE maintains its existing presence in its current areas and these become the core communities.
  • Certain elements of the OVoE project are extended to other communities within the existing wards, such as Wickhamford, Childswickham, Aldington and Lenchwick
  • Certain elements of the OVoE project are extended into three new rural wards to enable the OVoE project to operate within the South East of Wychavon.  These three new rural wards will be Honeybourne and Pebworth, The Littletons and Bretforton and Offenham.

The next door knock exercise will be taking place in certain areas in Broadway on Tuesday 23 April 2013, between the hours of 4.00pm and 7.00pm.
