Household Recycling Sack Collection

We operate a household recycling collection to 94% of households using purple and clear sacks. Purple Sacks are collected one week for paper and textiles and a Clear Sacks the next to collect plastic bottles and cans. For a full list of items we can and cannot accept in the sacks see the Recycling Scheme Items List below.

The sacks are collected from the front edge of your property  (37.58 KB) along with your normal refuse on the same day.

Re-Order Sacks

We provide rolls of 26 purple and 26 clear recycling sacks plus two re-order stickers every 6 months.  When you start to run out of recycling sacks put one of the stickers on your last recycling sack and we will deliver a new roll of sacks and some more stickers.

If you need more purple sacks put the sticker on the purple sack and for more clear sacks put it on the clear sack.

You can also get more sacks and stickers from our Community Contact Centres in Abbey Road, Evesham and High Street, Droitwich Spa and the Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore.

Recycling Scheme Items List

What Happens Next

The same vehicle collects both the recycling sacks and the refuse sacks. The vehicle is split at the back into two compartments to keep the sacks separate, one compartment for refuse bags and one for recycling sacks.

The bags are taken to the Materials Recycling Facility at Hill and Moor near Pershore. Here they are sorted by a combination of mechanical and manual means before being sent on to a re-processor for remanufacture.
