The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

This annual award recognises and rewards outstanding achievements by groups in the community. A group (two or more people) can be nominated if it has been operating in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, for three years, and the majority of its members are volunteers. The Lord-Lieutenant is involved in the assessment of groups. The Awards are announced annually on 2 June.
