Contacting us via the web

The use of the internet as a means of contacting us or accessing information is increasing and further growth is expected. Some customers expect to be able to use the web and this will be their preferred means of contact.

Worcestershire County Council and the 6 local District Councils all have their own websites containing a vast amount of useful information, however many of these contain the same or similar information and it also requires customers to know which website to visit.

In order to make improvements to this form of contact we:

• Provide Worcestershire Hub Online that will:

• Develop web page content to support the needs of customers (and customer service staff acting on behalf of customers)
• Produce information in a style to best suit our customers.

We will also work to improve access to the internet through the provision of:

• The "Peoples Network" – free internet access in most of our libraries in bookable time slots
• Training courses available throughout Worcestershire
• Internet connected computers in our Customer Centres – free internet access in bookable time slots.
