PLUSBUS - visit www.plusbus.info or read the information below.

What is PLUSBUS?

It’s a discount price ticket for unlimited local bus travel around town that you buy with your train ticket. Bus travel can be at the start, the finish, or both ends of your train journey. So you pay for your complete train and bus travel in one easy transaction at the station. With PLUSBUS you can make as many bus journeys as you like on all participating operators services. PLUSBUS is now available to 230 towns and cities across Britain.

Buy PLUSBUS with most train tickets, including “walk-up” and “advance purchase” fares:

  • singles
  • day returns
  • period returns
You will buy two PLUSBUS tickets, one for the outward journey and a second for the return. You must specify the date of your return journey.
  • season tickets
Available to 147 selected towns across Britain, for set periods to match your train season ticket: 7-days, 1-month, 3-months and a year.

How does it work?

Ask for PLUSBUS when buying your train ticket at the station (or by phone) and say where you want bus travel - at the start, the finish, or both ends of your train journey. You will be issued with tickets for your train and bus travel. The PLUSBUS ticket will have ‘+BUS’ printed after the name of your origin or destination station e.g. WORCESTER+BUS. Simply show this ticket to the driver as you get on the bus.

For bus travel at the start of your journey, buy your PLUSBUS ticket in advance from a station (or by phone and have it posted to you). Online sales of PLUSBUS tickets will be available soon.

With PLUSBUS it’s easy to know where you can go. There’s just one zone covering the whole urban area. You can travel as much as you like on participating buses within this zone.  Zone maps for all PLUSBUS served towns are available on the PlusBus website.

Zone maps are available on teh website, or you can view the Worcester PlusBus zone map This is a link to a PDF file. (30.35 KB)

PLUSBUS is not available if the origin and destination stations of your train journey are wholly within the same bus travel zone. One station of your train journey MUST be outside the town bus travel zone.

What is the fare?

PLUSBUS is great value and can save you money. It’s also more convenient than buying separate tickets for your train and bus journeys. PLUSBUS costs a set amount each day, in addition to your train fare. The PLUSBUS day ticket price is discounted compared to the price you’d normally pay!
