Cycle Route Development

Opening of 45 between Stourport and BewdleyWorcestershire County Council are committed to to developing an improved cycle network.  WCC are currently working with cycle route charity Sustrans in developing the National Cycle Network (NCN).  Additionally links and spurs to the National Cycle Network and other seperate routes to workplaces, schools and leisure attractions are also being developed. 

National Routes

Route 5

NCN National Route 5 (West Midlands Cycle Route)

Existing: Redditch to Bromgrove, Catshill, Rubery and Birmingham

  
Route 41

Planned: Tewksbury (Glos) to Evesham and Stratford (Warks)

  
Route 45

NCN National Route 45

Existing: Worcester to Droitwich, and Stourport to Bridgnorth (Shrops)

Planned: Droitwich to Stourport, and Worcester to Tewkesbury

  
Route 46

Existing: Worcester (Pitchcroft) to Droitwich

Planned: Droitwich to Bromsgrove, and Worcester to Malvern and Hereford (Herefordshire)
