Welcome to Facilities

The Facilities unit provides services to twenty-five administrative sites throughout the county.  Buildings served include County Hall, where the unit is based and where the Facilities Manager also acts as Officer-in-Charge.   In this role he is responsible for the Health and Safety, including fire safety, of all persons onsite.   At buildings other than County Hall, this duty is discharged through a system of on-site Officers-in-Charge.

Through its twenty-two full-time and ten part-time staff Facilities provides Caretaking, Reception and Mail services.  The unit is also responsible for other services provided through contractors - Security, Catering, Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance.
