One in six adults will suffer from a mental health problem at a given time. Common conditions include anxiety and depression and dementia and less common psychotic disorders include schizophrenia. Mental health problems are not particularly well understood by the wider community and are often associated with stigma or fear. The mental health service within Worcestershire aim to promote good mental health and physical well-being, to diagnose mental health problems as early as possible and to provide interventions and treatment to those who need it in a timely manner.
