Llanrug is a well established residential centre,which has provided courses of a consistent high quality for more than 30 years. Situated in North Wales, Llanrug provides a range of adventurous activities and educational opportunities. |
The site on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park has residential accommodation for up to 40 students and provides extensive opportunities for Hill Walking, Climbing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Cave and Mine Exploration.
The Centre can also be used as a base for fieldwork courses.
In addition to provision for schools the centre runs an extensive programme of Specialist Adult Courses including Mountain Leader, Climbing and Canoeing instructional qualifications, and personal skills courses. The main building, once the village school, is now extensively modernised to accommodate residents in simple but comfortable and warm surroundings. |

There is a large communal dining area, student common room and specialist field studies classroom/lecture room, with sleeping accommodation provided in dormitories of varying sizes. The building is centrally heated and has shower facilities and an excellent drying room. Separate buildings house the Centre’s extensive store of outdoor activity equipment.
