The Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies to all public authorities, which includes Wychavon District Council. It introduces a general right of access to recorded information held by the authority in the course of its functions, subject to certain conditions and exemptions.
Public Authorities must adopt and maintain a ‘publication scheme’, which lists the information the authority publishes, the form in which it is published and whether it is available free or subject to a charge.
Wychavon’s Publication Scheme has been approved by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
There is a copy of the Publication Scheme for each of the Shops/Customer Contact Centres.
