Saturday 8th November 2008

The Norbury Theatre opened its doors to showcase local visual and performing arts groups

Music, theatre, arts and dance displays, performances, information and workshops.

Evesham Arts 4 All Day

Sunday 9th March 2008

Wychavon District Council & Evesham Arts Association held an arts & entertainments open day on Sunday March 9th from 12noon until 5.30pm. Evesham Arts 4 All offered local people the chance to sample all kinds of activities by local arts groups & businesses. The event was free and there was something to interest just about everyone.

The Evesham Arts Centre was filled with short performances, activities and demonstrations showcasing local groups, individuals & classes. There was a huge range of things to see, hear & do such as: workshops on creative writing, breakdancing, pottery, theatre lighting/sound and several on drama (for all ages from 5 upwards);  backstage theatre tours, demonstrations of flower-arranging and displays of paintings & photography; performances & exhibitions of jazz & gospel singing, short plays, Barbershop harmony, clog dance, music from the 15th to 19th centuries, Irish dance, poetry, jazz and chamber music.

There was also stands offering information & the chance to join groups or sign up for classes - or just have a chat.
