
Art in the parks is returning to Wychavon for 2 weeks across July and August offering an array of fun and exciting art workshops and performances all for 'FREE'. The first week will feature childrens theatre, visual arts workshops and the very popular 'storybag 2' (a one women show for children). The second week is full of entertainment with African Drumming from Drumlove and W Factor performances from Wychavons brightest young talent.
1st weeks programme
Visual Arts Workshop - Create your own Kaleidoscope world, build your own parallel universe using an array of recycled and found materials - 11-4pm
Storybag 2 by Vamos Theatre - Come in to the story tent where Storybag will open the magical bag of stories from China, Poland and Africa using live music, song, puppetry and physical theatre - showings at 12noon and 2.30pm

W Factor Performances - See this years fantastic finalists perform in dance, song, music and drama - performances 12noon & 2pm
African Drumming - have a go at using djembe drums, traditional African drums with Drumlove - workshops 11am, 1pm & 3pm

A taste of ……… Artistic Recycling
Re-think. Re-use. Re-create with this arts workshop rethinking the way we use waste and taking old clothes, shoes, wellies and other items and using printing, painting and stitching to decorate them to create something new. Bring old clothes or items with you.

Tuesday 25th August - Droitwich Lido Park - 12noon - 4pm
Wednesday 26th August - Pershore Abbey Park - 12noon - 4pm
Thursday 27th August - Evesham Abbey Park - 12noon - 4pm
Starting on 25th August this 3 day event will travel across the whole of Wychavon making stops at Droitwich Lido Park, Pershore Abbey Park and Evesham Abbey Park from from 12 noon - 4pm. The parties will cater for absolutely everyone with live bands, face painting*, arts workshops, sport sessions & a number of other fun activities. We will also have performances from some of this years finalists and winners of the 'W' Factor
Once again this event is 'FREE' of charge right on your doorstep.
*small charge will be made
Last years event was a roaring success producing record crowds but with your help we could make this the '2009 Party in the Parks' even bigger and better.
