Benefits

Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit are schemes to help people who are on a low income, or receiving pension credit, income support/job seekers allowance.

The amount of benefit you get depends on:

• How much income you (and your partner) have coming in
• The amount of capital you have
• The amount of money the government says you need to live on
• Deductions we may make for other people living in the property (these are called non-dependants)
• The amount of rent/council tax you pay
• Deductions for items included in the rent , which do not count for benefits

Do I qualify?

You can apply for Council Tax benefit by downloading and completing the Housing and Council Tax Benefit Claim Form  (256.15 KB) (234.36 KB). Alternatively you can get a form at any of our contact centres in Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore or contact us and we will send one out to you.
