Waste and Liveability Research 2005

We commissioned RBA Research Ltd to consult residents on a number of issues around waste and liveability.

The research consisted of face-to-face in-home interviews with 703 residents during November and December 2005 and also facilitating four Focus Groups in January 2006.

The specific objectives of the survey were to understand residents’:

  • ·Satisfaction with waste and recycling services
  • ·Preferences for waste and recycling
  • ·Views on opportunities to increase recycling
  • ·Satisfaction with cleanliness of the area
  • ·Satisfaction with the local area
  • ·Perceptions of crime and safety
  • ·Satisfaction with and use of local sport and leisure facilities
  • ·Views on the Council’s priorities
  • ·Views on what constitutes a good quality of life
  • ·Receipt and readership of Council communications
