Town Councillors

Droitwich Spa Town Council has 18 Councillors covering 7 wards. The Council sits as a whole to consider major items, but for the more minor, day-to-day matters Council has appointed 3 Committees, each with 9 Councillors. The Mayor is Chairman of the Council and is an ex-officio member on each Committee. Minutes of the Meetings of each Committee are presented to Council for adoption.

These Committees are:-

Resources Committee, with responsibilities for the Council’s financial, property and personnel matters;
Planning Committee, which looks at planning applications, highways matters and so on, in the Council’s role of statutory consultee; and
Community and Amenities Committee, which deals with parks, open spaces, the Community Hall etc.

Council, usually at its Annual Meeting in May, decides membership of the Committees and who will represent the Town Council on outside bodies. For 2007/08 the membership is as follows:
