Mayor of Droitwich Spa

The current mayor of Droitwich Spa is Councillor Mrs Glenise Noyes.  Glenise's Consort is her husband Tom.  

Her Charities for 2008/09 are the Norbury Theatre, Young Firefighters and St Richard’s Hospice.    

The role of Mayor is that of Civic Head and First Citizen of Droitwich Spa.  He or she presides over full meetings of the Council.  Civic duties involve meeting dignatories to the town and playing an important role in town life acting as an ambassador between the Town Council and the general public.  The Mayor has robes which are worn on three occasions a year - upon election to the post, at the Civic Service, and on Remembrance Sunday, althought there may be extra-special occasions when an additional outing may be required!
