Below you will find the charges payable to hire out the Public Hall in Evesham.

1.Opening Times
The Public Hall is available for hire: Monday - Sunday 08.00am - 02.30am
The hiring of the Public Hall does not entitle the hirer to use or enter the facilities at any other time other than the specified hours for which the facility has been hired
The right of entry to the Public Hall is reserved for any Wychavon District Council Staff and any Police Officer on duty at any time during the hiring.
2. There is no parking at the Public Hall
No vehicles at any time between 10.30am and 4.30pm are permitted to park on the Market Square. Vehicle access is restricted to loading and unloading before 10.30am and after 4.30pm. There is NO parking facilities on the Market Square.
The nearest car parks are Riverside Shopping Centre, Merstow Green and Old Brewery.
3. Disabled Access
There is disabled access to all areas, except balconies, via a lift which is located next to the staircase.
4. No Smoking
Wychavon District Council has a No Smoking Policy inside its buildings. The hirer must ensure that people do not smoke inside the Public Hall during their function.
5. Licenses
The Public Hall has Premises Licence which permits the following activities:
Performance of Plays
Exhibition of Films
Indoor Sporting Events
Boxing and Wrestling
Performance of Live Music
Performance of Recorded Music
Performance of Dance
Facilities for Making Music
Dancing
Provision of late night refreshment
Times for all activities listed are: Monday to Sunday 09.00am - 01.30am
Sale of alcohol: Monday to Sunday 09.00am - 01.00am
6. Damage to hirers property
Wychavon District Council staff will lock up the Public Hall at the conclusion of the function. It is the Hirers responsibilty to ensure that no property is left in the Public Hall. Wychavon District Council and its employees will not be responsible for any of the hirers' property remaining inside which may be damaged, destroyed or lost through fire, accident, theft or from any cause whatsoever.
7. Damage to Council property/personal injury
It is the duty of the hirer to ensure that proper care is taken of the Public Hall, all its furniture, equipment and fittings and the hirer shall be held entirely responsible for any damage, defacement or injury of any kind whatsoever that may be caused during or in connection with the hiring and the hirer shall immediately report any such damage to the caretaker. The cost of any repairs or replacements shall be the responsibility of the hirer.
Wychavon District Council shall not be liable for loss which may result from any occurrence that causes the Public Hall to be closed temporarily or the hiring to be interrupted or cancelled nor for any loss due to breakdown of machinery, failure of supply of electricity, gas or water leakage or fire, save to the extent such loss is attributable to the negligence of the Council
Any foreseen change to the hire will be duly notified to the hirer by telephone and by the display of appropriate notices within the Hall. In such circumstances Wychavon District Council will endeavour to provide at least two weeks notice.
Wychavon District Council will use its best endeavours to offer alternative dates in the event of any unforseen (emergency) interruptions to a hiring which has been pre-booked.
8. Indemnity
The hirer shall fully indemnify the Council against all claim, damages , loss or expense howsoever arising out of the hiring (excluding negligence on the part of the Wychavon District Council or its employee) and shall effect an appropriate third party public liability insurance policy to cover all such possible claims. Such policy must be produced to Wychavon District Council upon request.
9. Signage
The hirer must ensure that there is no flyposting to advertise events at the Public Hall or unauthorised advertisements in the street or on the pavement. Contravention will lead to prosecution.
The hirer must NOT display 'A' boards or similiar inside Riverside Shopping Centre or on the highway.
Advertising for present or forthcoming events taking place at the Public Hall can be put in the existing noticeboard which is fixed to the wall outside the entrance to the Public Hall inside the Riverside Shopping Centre and on the noticeboard in the Public Hall foyer.
10. Decoration and equipment
No bolts, nails, tacks, screws or any other objects shall be used in any part of the facility. Any decoration of the Hall must be in agreement with Wychavon District Council.
No smoke producing agent, real flame laser or pyrotechnic device, explosives, toxic, hazardous or highly flammable substances should be used without prior approval of the Councils Authorised Officer.
No additional lights, apparatus or extension from the existing light fittings shall be used without previous consent from the Councils Authorised Officer.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certificates should be provided for any electrical equipment brought into the Public Hall.
11. Appointment of stewards
The hirer must ensure that the stewards identified on the booking form report to the caretaker of the Public Hall for instructions on evacuation procedures and location of fire exit routes 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE FUNCTION COMMENCING.
For some functions hirers will be asked to provide Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensed door supervisors.
The requirement for door supoervisors will be determined by Wychavn District Council.
The hirer shall during the hiring be responsible for the supervision of the facility,ensuring all fire doors are kept free from obstruction. Be responsible for the behaviour of those attending the function and shall maintain good order and effect the orderly and safe admission and departure to and from the Public Hall and the Riverside Shopping Centre.
12. Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with cooker, microwave, urn, refirigerator, kettle. The use of portable heating or cooking facilities shall not be permitted without the consent of Wychavon District Council.
Organisers are free to make their own catering arrangements.
13. Bar facilities
The Bar Service is provided by Evesham Brewery. Under NO circumstances is alcohol permitted in the Public Hall other than from the bar service provided.
Management has the right to refuse to serve, admit or eject any persons on the premises who do not act in an orderly manner.
