The licensing unit administers most of the licences that Wychavon District Council are responsible for. The majority of licences that we issue are to keep the public safe, and to avoid people suffering nuisance.
We also think about more general matters like crime and disorder and town centre development. And we try and encourage business by the decisions that we make and the advice that we make freely available.
We work with local Police, the Fire Service, and all other Council departments. Our staff talk to licensing teams in other local authorities, both within South Worcestershire and nationally, to keep Wychavon towards the leading edge of licensing administration and enforcement.
