Monitoring and Recording

A central control room for receiving, monitoring and recording of images is based at the Civic Centre in Pershore, and it is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Video recordings are kept for 28 days and are erased at that time unless they are required to be kept for evidential purposes. At the end of their life tapes are destroyed.

The control room has a direct monitor link to the West Mercia Police at Worcester thereby allowing images caught on any of our cameras to be transmitted live or replayed back to them.

We also monitor the retail radio links used by businesses etc in each of the three towns and these links can be used to alert other users including the Police and the Council of ongoing activity or potential problems.
