A Brief History to the Evesham Market Town Partnership

Evesham Market Town Partnership began life in 2001, with the aim of delivering £500,000 worth of regeneration projects funded by Advantage West Midlands and the Countryside Agency through the Market Town initiative (MTI). At the time, the town was in severe decline. Foot and Mouth disease had been devastating, and the terrorist attacks on the 11th September further underminded a fragile economy.

However, the partnership has worked hard to implement a series of projects to support the towns economy, and has won national acclaim and the awards in the process. The MTI funding has now ceased, but the Market Town Partnership continues to thrive as the Local Strategic Partner for Evesham and the surrounding rural areas.
