Droitwich Spa - Vines Park and town centre locations

A day to celebrate Droitwich Spa past and present with plenty of medieval merriment and fun for all the family.  The event will feature medieval combat displays, dancing, story telling and fire juggling by Merrie England.  Other attractions include well dressing displays, medieval music, information stalls, canal boat trips, museum on the move and a celebration with local churches.  The event also sees the return of an Italian Market in Saltbarrow Market (9am – 4pm) and the monthly Farmers’ Market in Victoria Square (9am – 2pm).  The festival will end with a duck race on the River Salwarpe in Vines Park.  

Salt Day - 13th September

Various venues around Droitwich Spa. Return of the popular celebration of Droitwich Spa's unique and rich heritage-and what the town has to offer on this fun day out! With a fine foods theme, the day will feature activities and entertainment for all ages-a great day out for the whole family! 11am - 4:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Visitors and residents of Droitwich are being asked to mark the 15th September in their diaries for all the fun and excitement planned for the now annual Salt Day Festival.
The second Salt Festival took place in various locations throughout the heart of Droitwich Spa and delivered its promise to be bigger and better than before.
Joe Ling, Droitwich Spa Area Partnership Manager at the time said

"This event wouldn’t be possible without a host of different organisations and groups pulling together. Last years festival was such a success that people have been asking me since Christmas about this year’s festival, so I’m really pleased to be announcing the line up.”

The Days events proved to be very successful, and provided visitors and residents alike with hours of entertainment from Roman Soldiers, a marching band and a wide variety of Fine Food Stalls to an exciting array of fun activities for the whole familly to enjoy, a definite "must-do" for your 2008 diaries!.
