2008 Events

Pershore Celebrates! - 26th May

A day of celebration in the delightful town of Pershore. A full and fun filled day, with activities to suit the whole family. Festivities start with:

The Green Festival
Starting at 10am, there will be an array of activities with a "Green" Theme. Recycling, saving energy, wildlife gardening, local produce and much much more!

Asparagus Farmers Market
This interesting event is also included in the days itinerary-be sure not to miss it!

Pershore Carnival
A festival of fun and colour to celebrate the town and the 40th anniversary of the carnival itself. With plenty of activities for young and old, Pershore Celebrates is an exciting and unmissable event!

Pershore Art and Photography Show - 12th July

Taking place at Pershore Town Hall and starting at 12 noon, Pershore demonstrates the many and varied talents in art and photography in both young and adult communities. There are numerous clasess taking place, Exhibits in the Town Hall and market stalls in St Andrews Gardens. Schedules are available from Pershore Visitor Centre. With admission only being £1, there is no reason to miss this excting and vibrant event!

Pershore Plum Festival - 1st-25th August

Pershore will go "Plum Crazy" this month, culminating in the Pershore Plum Fayre on Bank Holiday Monday (25th August). This month long festival will turn the town purple in its endevours to celebrate this special fruit! Pershore Jazz Festival - 16th and 17th August

Situated at Pershore College Campus, this event promises to be a fun one! Full restaurant and bar facilities, Jazz for all tastes and ages, souvenir shop, plant centre and delightful grounds! Jazz provided in three locations by top musicians from the UK and beyond! Camping, caravanning and limited B&B available. Starting at 12 noon, Admission £16, Pre Booked tickets £14

Pershore Plum Fayre and Farmers Market - 25th August

In and around Pershore. Enjoy a fruity day out for all the family celebrating the fruit for which Pershore is Internationaly renowned. Opened by local gardening expert Reg Moule. Popular events include Plum Exhibition, Gardeners Question Time, Farmers Market, boat trips, arts and crafts exhibition, brass band, Teddy Bear Parachute, Vintage and Classic Cars and much much more!
Bus link to Evesham Angling Festival also available. 10am - 4pm

2007 Events Review

Pershore Christmas Events
24th November

Pershore kicked off the countdown to Christmas with seasonal festivities, including musical performances from Pershore Town Choir and Pershore Brass, with Carol Singing and the magical Christmas Lights switch. The event proved to be a huge success, with lots of people turning out to enjoy the festive fun!

Christmas Fayre
16th December

Carol Singing,a Craft Fayre and Farmers Market, plus seasonal town festivities made for a barrel-full of festive fun for the whole family to enjoy on the 16th, providing locals and visitors alike with the perfect way to celebrate the coming of Christmas.

 

Pershore Plum Fayre 2007

Pershore’s 11th Plum Fayre took place on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August 07 and lived up to all expectations of being a fun day out for all the family!

Staged in and around the beautiful Georgian Town of Pershore, which was throughtout the day, bathed in eagerly awaited sunshine, visitors enjoyed a "fruity day out" for all the family, celebrating the fruit for which Pershore is internationally famous.

The numourous attractions on offer included: Farmers Market, Gardeners Question Time with Pershore College, Teddy Bear Parachute Jump/Zip Wire Trips, Family Storyteller and much much more

A Taste of Pershore Promotional Day 2007

The Taste of Pershore Promotional Day proved a great success, providing locals and visitors alike with an excellent array of entertainent, with bars, shops and cafes open, river trips on the Avon Paddler, face painting for children in the Library and Retail Market, Pershore Choir singing in the Baptist Church, and fun-tastic street entertainment!.
As if this wasnt enough, A Taste of Pershore Promotional Day was excited and grateful to present Toyah Wilcox to officially open the day at 10:00 am by the Town Hall.

As well as all the entertainment being provided on the High Street, Library and Retail Market, Number 8 was also open and showcasing many of Pershore's rural businesses, including Harpers Dog Grooming and Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Swedish Massage with June Marshall.
