Partnerships

Whether it’s working with housing associations to build affordable homes, tackling vehicle crime and drug abuse through our Community Safety Partnership or regeneration projects through our Local Strategic Partnerships, nearly everything we do involves working with others.

In 2003 we carried out a rigorous of the 27 formal partnerships we were involved in at the time to assess their effectiveness. Through these we work with over 80 different organisations. The review confirmed the benefits of partnership working. But it also showed a number of partnerships where there was room for improvement. We've produced a Partnership Matters summary This is a link to a PDF file. (66.80 KB) of the results and the steps we're taking to improve the effectiveness of all our partnership involvement. Also available is the full version of Partnership Matters This is a link to a PDF file. (177.10 KB).

We’re currently revisiting the review findings and our partnerships to make sure we’re only putting our time and resources into activities that deliver benefits for our residents.
