What Is A Personal Search?

These may be carried out by anyone but it is advisable that you have a knowledge of the Register and understand what information you are obtaining. The person carrying out the search is responsible for collating the information from the Statutory Registers, which does not include answers to the Con 29 form. No written confirmation of answers collated is given but assistance to carry out a search will be given by the staff.

Local Land Charges operates an appointment system between 9.30 to 1.00 and 2.00 until 4.00 Monday to Friday, 24 hours notice is usually required.

How Do I Carry Out A Personal Search At Wychavon?

When booking a Personal Search can you please give the following details:

• Company Name
• Address
• Contact Telephone Number
• Address of site
• No of parcels of land (if applicable)
• You then have two options

Option One

1 - On the day please pay the required fee at the Wychavon Cash Office as follows:

• A - £11.00 per search (£1.00 up to a maximum of £16.00 for additional Parcels of Land)
• B - Please quote the following Code at the Cash Office: NA 95 and give the search address for the receipt
• C - Present the receipt to the Planning Customer Services Officer with a copy of the plan of the search area.

2 - Our Customer Services Officer will show you the planning register. At present this is held in either paper format or is available on our web site depending on the date of the application.

PLEASE NOTE – The information contained in the GIS system will also contain related history for the site. Information is correct from 1st January 2003 but the related history is computer linked information and as such has not all been verified. It is therefore necessary for you to check the old history sheets

3 - While you are checking the relevant Planning History your search will be logged with the Land Charge Section and the information contained in the Land Charges Register will be displayed on the PC in the Viewing Area for you to take note of the information.

4 - The Local Plan is available in the viewing area.

Option Two

You may now pay for searches by Debit/Credit Card. When booking the search we can transfer you to our Cash Office who will take the payment details and supply us with the receipt or you can pay direct on telephone payments number - 01386 565200

If you pay direct please Quote Ref NA95 (payment code), your name and the address of the property, otherwise the receipt will not be forwarded to Land Charges and we cannot log the search.

If you then fax through a clear plan we can log the search and the results will be ready for you when you arrive. Our Fax Number is 01386 565140

The only remaining searching for you to carry out will be the Planning Register.
