ADOPTION OF LOCAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEME (LDS) 2008 - 2011

The Local Development Scheme was approved by Wychavon District Council by Development Control Policy Committee on 21 February 2008 and subsequently by Executive Board on 4 March 2008. It was submitted to the Govenment Office for the West Midlands but not ratified due to the impending changes to Planning Policy Statement 12. In the light of the recently adopted Planning Policy Statement 12 and the delays to the Phase Two Revision of the West Midlands Regional Spatial Strategy there is a need to amend the Local Development Scheme .The amendments will be considered by the Council this coming Autumn/Winter along with the response to the WMRSS Preferred Option consultation

The LDS is a key document within the new planning system ( Local Development Framework - LDF). The LDS sets out the following: ·

  • the status of current documents (includes the Local Plan Policies adopted on 23rd June 2006) and the new policy documents intended to be produced;
  • the subject matter and geographical area for each policy document;
  • ·timetables for the preparation and the review of plan documents
