Following a 5 day Public Local Inquiry in July, a Planning Inspector has now decided that a 18,859 sq metre industrial development should not go ahead on the airfield site. He recognised that the site is in a remote rural location that is served by poor quality roads. He agreed with the Council that the development would be contrary to established planning policies with respect to its significant adverse effect on the landscape and the acceptable addition it would create to environmental problems caused by HGV traffic in the Vale of Evesham. The full decision letter can be viewed on our website - please see planning application no. W/93/00992.
