Towards the Big Plan. The South Worcestershire Joint Core Strategy Preferred Options Stage

Following on from last years consultation on the Issues and Options Paper, the three partner authorirites approved the Preferred Options Paper in the Summer of 2008 for six weeks public consultation commencing on 19 September 2008.  The Preferrred Options incorporates views sent to us during the Issues and Options consultation, along with a range of other technical information and input from key stakeholders and service providers.

As the title suggests, the paper puts forward the three partner authorities 'Preferred Option', but also identifies a range of alternative for people to comment on. This is NOT the draft Joint Core Strategy, but presents an important opportunity for you to have your say as we plan for South Worcestershire up to 2026.

Next stages:

Following consultation this autumn, the comments will feed into a 'submitted' Joint Core Strategy, sent to the Secretary of State in mid 2009 and a public inquiry late 2009 to early 2010. It is hoped the Joint Core Strategy will be adopted by late 2010.
