Leisure Centres

Wychavon District Council provides leisure centres in Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore.  Facilities at each centre include 25m swimming pools, sports halls and comprehensive fitness facilites.

In 1999 the Council transferred the operation and management of the leisure centres to Wychavon Leisure Community Association Ltd, a charitable organisation working on a 'not for profit' basis, in order to improve service quality and free funds for reinvestment in the leisure centres.

The District Council believes in providing easily accessible, high quality, affordable leisure facilities for all its residents and has been able to invest considerable sums into new facilities and services.

In the past few years, Pershore's leisure centre has been replaced at a cost of £4.6M and a £500,000 extension to the Fitness room at Droitwich leisure centre has been completed. The Council has also committed to replace Evesham’s leisure centre at a cost of £10.75 million.

Both the District Council and Wychavon Leisure Community Association Ltd aim to provide excellent service and we want to hear from you about how we can improve the services further.
