Jack Hegarty, Managing Director said: "We’re delighted with this award and the national recognition for delivering good services. The result last night and all credit is due to the great staff and members at Wychavon that make it all possible.”
Councillor Martin Jennings, Former Leader of the District Council added: "Councils throughout the country enter these awards, so to receive this recognition in the ‘Council of the Year’ category is a fantastic achievement, and a credit to all the hard working staff at Wychavon.”
The event was hosted by Rory Bremner, and for the first time ever in its history the award was presented jointly this year, with Wychavon District Council and High Peak Borough Council both claiming the top honour.
