We offer a choice of one of the following:
Free Fare English Bus Pass
These can be used for unlimited travel throughout England on local bus services or
Travel Tokens
These are only available as an alternative to residents 80 years of age or those people who qualify disabled
(70.47 KB) and their companions. These can be used on some buses, trains and some taxi services and are for use in the Wychavon district or within the immediate vicinity of the district boundary. Note these services are not obliged to take tokens and may refuse their use. Please check before you travel
You need to be 60 years of age, qualify disabled
(70.47 KB) or be a companion of a person who qualifies as disabled.
Go along to one of our contact centre's You will be required to provide I.D, evidence that you are a resident of the district and proof that you are eligible. If you are collecting a bus pass you will also require a passport sized photograph,we can provide this for a £2 charge.
Bus passes must be collected in person.However if you are eligible for travel tokens,(residents aged 80 years or over, qualifying disabled
(70.47 KB) or their companions) these can be collected by someone on your behalf.You will need to give a letter of authorisation to the person you nominate or complete an authorisation form
(101.54 KB). You will also need to give your nominated person your I.D and they will need to bring in their own I.D to prove that they are the person you have nominated.
You can apply at our contact cenres up to 1 month in advance of your 60th birthday for your bus pass. These will then be posted to you directly.
Travel Tokens are available as soon as you become eligible and are distributed directly from our contact centre's. These are available from 1st April onwards each year.
If you have lost your bus pass and require a replacement there will be a £5 charge. This charge will be waivered if your pass has been stolen and you can provide a crime reference number.
Your bus pass will enable you to travel for free on local bus services throughout England (not Wales or Scotland).The value of tokens you would receive is dependent on where you live. From 1st April each year you will receive £50.00 if you live in a town and £80.00 if you live in a rural area.
From 1st April 2009 the bus pass can be used at all times in the Worcestershire districts of Wychavon, Malvern, Redditch & Bromsgrove and at off peak times (9.30am -11.00pm Monday to Friday and all day weekend and bank holidays) throughout the rest of England (Including the Worcestershire Districts of Worcester City and Wyre Forest.Travel Tokens can be used on buses, trains and some taxi companies (check when booking) to pay for your fare.(Journey's must start or finish within the vicinity of the district boundary).
