We work together with other organisations to ensure that if an emergency takes place we are prepared. A recent example of an emergency planning situation was during the floods of July 2007. We had to quickly work with partners to help our communities during the widespread flooding across the district.
Our emergency plan sets out what our responsibilities are and what we would would do if an emergency took place. A key part of this is ensuring that services are maintained in areas that are unaffected.

We have signed up to a Memorandum of Understanding within Worcestershire with the County Council and the other five District Councils. To part fund a small specialised team of Emergency Planners at the County Council to support us in our duties under the Civil Contingencies Act (2004).
