Flood Alleviation (Relief From Flooding)

We are committed to encouraging flood alleviation. In areas where no-one has clear responsibility for flooding problems we can carry out flood alleviation schemes, where this will benefit the community.

We also provide a flood risk-screening system on all new planning applications and advise our planning section on the suitability of development near watercourses.

We can also advise homeowners on how to prepare their homes against flooding and what emergency action can be taken.
