St. Andrews car park, Droitwich Spa Public Consultation

Proposals for the re-development of the St Andrews Car Park in Droitwich Town Centre are being prepared by the Kandahar Group, who are the freehold owners of the existing shopping centre and car park, Wychavon District Council (WDC) have a long term lease on the car park and Worcestershire County Council (WCC) own the Covercroft Centre.

Discussions have been ongoing with the Council and with key stakeholders in the community and town centre for some time.

During week commencing 9th June 2008 a number of workshops, a drop-in session, and a site visit were held with stakeholders, the community and youth groups. These form part of a stakeholder engagement process, providing informed input to the development of proposals.

The objective of the various sessions was to bring together key stakeholders and the community to build on the ideas developed to date in the Planning Brief, and to identify opportunities, objectives and priorities that will further shape the proposal.
