Museums Worcestershire

The joint Worcestershire County Council and Worcester City Council Museums Service provides activities for schools and other organisations across the key stages through our sites at Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum, The Commandery and Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury. We also offer our outreach service, 'Museum on the Move', and a collection of historic objects available for loan.

With changes to the National Curriculum due in September 2014, Museums Worcestershire are keen to work with you to provide relevant and appropriate resources to support your chosen curriculum topics. Outdoor and Environmental Learning

Our outdoor and environmental learning service offer a variety of outdoor education activities through centres at Llanrug and Upton Warren. The sites offer residential and non-residential curriculum-based learning courses for students and training for visit leaders. Programmes of activities, including Duke of Edinburgh, will be tailored to meet group and individual requirements using the medium of outdoor adventurous activities as a vehicle to learning. Personal skills training, team building and holiday activities are also available. Details are included in the service brochure.

We are currently in contract negotiations in relation to transferring Llanrug and Upton Warren to alternative providers with effect from 1st April 2014. Any queries relating to this please contact Operational Manager at the relevant site.
